John is Seriously Ill
For as long as we have known John in Ghana, he has been struggling with health
issues- sometimes better, sometimes worse. Right now, he is much worse.
John has a very bad hernia. This is the sort of thing we don't like to talk about
in polite society but it is a fact of life, and it can be extremely dangerous. A
hernia can literally kill. Among other things, it can twist the bowels and create a
blockage, making evacuation of the bowels impossible. This is the situation John is
in right now.
John has asked us not to talk about his personal problems here, but this is
obviously an exception. His life is in literal danger. Unfortunately, toward the end
of the month we are always short of funds, and this month is no different. If
anything out funds are more limited than usual because of some emergencies that
arose earlier in the month.
John needs a relatively small amount of money to save his life, or to at least give
him a fighting chance. At the present time we simply do not have that small amount
of money.
We will do what we can but at the present time the situation is very grim. Pray God
John will be able to survive and continue to do his work for the needy in Ghana.
