Anabel is a litle orphan girl in Ghana. Her mother abandoned her when she was three

years old. The mother later passed away, leaving Anabel completely alone in the

world.

We have been making it possible for Anabel to stay in a private childcare center

since she was abandoned. She is now five years old and attending school. As well as

the flat fees for her lodging and care there are also expenses for such things as

clothing, food, and whatever health problems may develop in a child as time goes

along. Sometimes it has been a challenge to pay for the things she needs, but

thanks to the generous help of some very kind people we have always been able to

handle all of the problems that have arisen.

Anabel has continuing problems with skin rashes and also an infection in her mouth

and throat. The matron who cares for her has been giving her medicine for this but

so far it hasn't completely gone away.

Our friend John in Ghana, who has been directly involved in Anabel's care, informed

us yesterday that Anabel's throat infection has returned and the matron is asking

for money for medicine. We will take care of this as soon as we can.

This is a continuing situation and we will update as soon as we have more

information.
