Gofred's Dad Robbed, Beaten Update January 27, 2025

Gofred is a little boy in Ghana. His mother has abandoned him and his father,

Solomon, travels around the country trying to find day work wherever he can. In the

meantime Gofred is being taken care of in a village some distance from Accra. His

father visits him once a month or so. Otherwise the child is alone. It is a hard

life for both of them.

A few days ago Gofred's father was walking home in Accra. It was late so he took a

shortcut through a dangerous neighborhood. A group of men stopped him, intending to

rob him. He fought back and they beat him up and took his phone and money. In the

struggle his eye was injured and he needed medical attention.

Thanks to a generous donation from a very kind benefactor the money has been

provided for his treatment. We are deeply appreciative.
