John in Ghana has a serious, continuing health problem that has plagued him for
years. When it flares up he passes blood in amounts heavy enough to literally
endanger his life. He has had several operations and has been on medicine to
control it for years. The bouts of bleeding leave him weak and debilitated for days
and sometimes weeks at a time.
His doctors have decided that John needs another operation. Everything has been
arranged and he will go to the hospital tomorrow to have it done. This is a very
serious situation. He simply cannot continue as he has been.
Of course John's life is important in its own right but because of the work he
does, helping people in desperate need, the lives of many other depend on him as
well. If something were to happen to John many others would suffer.
We wish John all the best.
