The " Small Killers " is a group of young dancers in Accra, Ghana. They are one of the
groups of performers struggling.
The group is made up of five boys and two girls, all in their teens and early
twenties. They dance at parties and other gatherings for tips and donations but
mostly they are just poor young people struggling to get along.
The two girls are named Samira and Fati. Fati is 22 years old and Samira is 18. At
the present time they dance in bars and nightclubs but on of their goals is to buy
native costumes so that they can dance traditional dances in a better environment.
Right now they simply do what they must to survive, as do we all in this world.
Samira was recently so ill that she could not even stand, let alone perform.
Fortunately that health problem was taken care of but of course in the meantime she
had no income and so they fell behind in their rent. They are struggling to catch
up on things and go on with their lives.
We wish them the best.
