Donald's Birthday Party
Donald is a little boy in Ghana. A little more than a year ago his mother, Favour,
came to John asking for help. She was pregnant, alone, homeless and penniless. We
helped her to obtain hospital care when her baby was born and we have been doing
what we can for her and her little boy since then. Donald has had many problems
since birth and more than once it looked like he might not make it, but this past
week our small community of friends in Accra celebrated Donald's first year of life
with a small birthday party.
Donald is a tough little boy and a real fighter. Despite all of his challenges he
has survived and grown. He is just now learning to walk and soon he will be out
playing with all the other little boys his age.
Congratulations to him on his first birthday and here's hoping he will have
many more to come!
