John Attacked in Accra
After his illness John in Ghana returned last weekend to the city of Accra, seeking
to raise funds for the construction of his church building in his home village.
(Most of it is finished but it still needs a roof.)
While speaking to people on the street he was physically attacked and beaten by a
crowd of believers of another faith because he was a Christian. P9 Foundation is secular and is open to all regardless of faith. Fortunately, one of the older members of the crowd convinced them to stop beating him and John managed to escape.
John is still in the process of recovering from the illness that caused him so much
suffering and his body is not at its full strength. He is in great pain from the
attack but at least he managed to get away from his tormenters. He is presently
staying at home doing his best to regain his health.
A sad event and we are wishing John the best.
