Situation Update for January
We apologize for the shortage of updates lately on P9 and those P9 has been trying
to help. Unfortunately, the health challenges we have been going through have been a
major distraction in work in Ghana and elsewhere. Added to our own illnesses here,
John is once again suffering from his constantly recurring lower intestinal
problems. He is suffering from a great deal of pain and is heavily medicated (to
the degree that we have been able to afford the medicines that has been prescribed
for him). He is scheduled for surgery on the 8th of February and in the meantime he
is struggling.
The good news is that Anabel is back in school and doing well. The other children
we have been caring for are not doing as well but at least for now there are no
major emergencies. Unfortunately, John's illness has prevented him from keeping track
of the others as well as we would like. Right now, John is the one who needs help
and it's impossible to do much for others until his own health situation is
resolved.
But we are all holding on as we can.
